Mosquito prevention campaign

Also this year the Municipality of Lignano Sabbiadoro is active, through all the instruments permitted by current regulations, to prevent the large-scale diffusion of both the so-called culex pipiens mosquito and the tiger mosquito.
In particular, the tiger mosquito spreads quickly and easily in even scarce stagnant water, both outdoors and indoors!
In addition to public areas, today more than ever, the collaboration of citizens is needed to act on privately owned green areas

You too can help us fight the phenomenon, starting with two simple steps:

• avoid unnecessary stagnation of water in the garden, at home and on the terraces (saucers, watering cans, manhole covers, bowls, drinking troughs, cisterns, inflatable pools, gutters).
• go to the Town Hall (reception lodge on the ground floor) to collect the anti-larval tablets, which are distributed free of charge.

The tablets should only be used in drains, wells and drains that contain stagnant water. It is not recommended to place the tablets in other containers that may be within the reach of animals or children.
They are effective against all mosquito species and their action extends to mosquito larvae by ingestion and contact, preventing the larva from transforming and becoming an adult.

The effects of the application are visible after 2/4 days and the tablets retain their effectiveness for about 15 days.
After intense rain events it is necessary to repeat the treatment. It is essential not to pour water into drains or drains after placing the tablets and to keep the product in a place inaccessible to children and pets.
After handling or in case of contact with skin, wash hands thoroughly. Do not use the product on plants, animals and in agriculture
