Arena Alpe Adria: extraordinary maintenance works underway

Redevelopment of the Alpe Adria Arena: the extraordinary maintenance project for the 2,500-seat venue that hosts numerous concerts, musical events and outdoor dance performances during the summer months from May to September has been approved.

The Municipal Administration has given the green light to the executive project for the extraordinary maintenance of the Alpe Adria Arena (Lot A), an ambitious and necessary intervention to renovate one of the city's symbolic places, the beating heart of events, shows, concerts and moments of aggregation. This important step marks the beginning of a path aimed at enhancing the functionality, safety and accessibility of a space so dear to the community and tourists of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

With a total investment of 400,000 euros, of which 300,000 euros allocated by the Municipality and 100,000 euros from the contribution of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the project aims to transform the Arena into a cutting-edge center, ready to host high-level events and meet the needs of an increasingly demanding public.

What does the project involve?

The intervention plan includes a series of works aimed at improving every aspect of the Arena:

• Renovation of the water-sanitary and electrical systems, with the aim of ensuring greater efficiency and sustainability. Replacement of the lighting fixtures with low-consumption technologies, for better lighting and a reduced environmental impact.
• Complete renovation of the bathrooms and dressing rooms, to offer modern and comfortable services to artists and the public.
• Waterproofing of the stalls and reorganization of the external control room, to ensure maximum functionality during events.
• Improvements to the surrounding areas, with embellishment and redevelopment interventions to make the entire space more welcoming and usable.

A look to the future: Lot B

The second lot of works, which will be financed with own resources following the approval of the 2024 financial statement, includes further maintenance and improvement interventions, thus completing the transformation of the Arena into a true architectural and functional jewel.
