The first dog walking area has been inaugurated in Lignano Sabbiadoro, a project promoted by Deputy Mayor Manuel Massimiliano La Placa and Animal Welfare Councilor Viviana Doborgazy. The area, located behind the municipal headquarters, extends over a thousand square meters and is divided into two zones: one for small dogs and one for larger ones. Equipped with fountains, interactive games and benches, it was made entirely of 100% recycled plastic, highlighting the commitment to environmental sustainability.
The authorities expressed satisfaction with the project, underlining that it responds to a real need of citizens and their animals, especially in a tourist resort like Lignano Sabbiadoro, where free spaces are limited. Access is regulated by principles of mutual respect, with dogs free but under the control of their owners. The goal is to replicate similar initiatives in other areas, making the city increasingly pet-friendly and inclusive.
This project represents a step towards the future, improving the quality of life for citizens and animals and strengthening the image of Lignano Sabbiadoro as a place that is attentive to the needs of families, animal lovers and the environment. An initiative that promotes sustainable and inclusive growth, making the city more liveable and closer to the needs of those who live and visit it.
