Sand Basket 2025: National Stage in Lignano Sabbiadoro – Thursday, July 10 at the Beach Arena!

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the beach of Lignano Sabbiadoro will host a major sports event: the National Stage of the Sand Basket circuit, the innovative version of basketball played on sand.

The event will take place at the Beach Arena (Office 5 in Sabbiadoro) and marks the official kickoff of the 2025 Sand Basket national tour. Teams will compete in three categories: Mini, Under, and Senior, with registrations open to everyone – from young players to experienced athletes.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia edition will welcome around 200 athletes from all over Italy, eager to compete for the National Stage FVG title, which grants access to the prestigious National Finals.

Supporting and promoting the initiative in Friuli Venezia Giulia is Michele Antonutti, a well-known name in regional basketball, who is actively contributing to the growth of this exciting and fast-growing discipline.

It will be a day of sport, entertainment, and energy on the sand: with thrilling matches, acrobatic dives, and a vibrant community atmosphere, the Beach Arena will turn into a true arena of excitement.
