Sports festival

The 10th Festa dello Sport returns to Lignano Sabbiadoro on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May 2025, one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year! Two days entirely dedicated to sport, fun and well-being in the open air, in the heart of the famous seaside resort in Friuli.

The event will take place in two main locations: the Parco San Giovanni Bosco and the Beach Village (beach office no. 7) in Lignano Sabbiadoro. Over 30 local sports associations will be present with information stands and demonstration areas, ready to welcome adults and children with many free activities.

What you can do during the Festa dello Sport 2025:

 

• Try a wide range of land and water sports for free, from the most classic to the most innovative disciplines.
• Participate in trial lessons and demonstrations led by qualified instructors.
• Get to know the sports associations of Lignano Sabbiadoro up close and discover the sports offerings available for the 2025 summer season.
• Attend live athletic performances and exhibitions.
• Spend moments of music, animation and entertainment in a festive atmosphere.

Admission is free and the activities will take place from 10:00 to 18:00 for both days.

2025 edition programming

PROGRAM SATURDAY 10 MAY

Lignano Sabbiadoro - San Giovanni Bosco Park and beach offices 6 - 7:

• Opening of stands: From 2:00 pm at the stands of the sports associations of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Possibility to try all the sports offered and receive information on the courses.
• Free trials of sports: From 2:00 pm in the areas of San Giovanni Bosco Park and beach offices 6-7. Demonstrations of land and sea sports that can be practiced in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
• Healthy snack: From 4:00 pm, offered to all children and teenagers present.
• Iron Mom 2025: Skill competition reserved for mothers with their children.

SPORTS TREASURE HUNT
"Take part in the Sports Treasure Hunt and if you complete the form that will be given to you at the info point, you will win a wonderful gadget from the Sports Festival. All the sports associations will be at your disposal to give you information on the courses and follow you in the tests. Don't miss the opportunity to find the sport that's right for you, spend two wonderful days with us, on the move, in the open air!"

SCHEDULE SUNDAY 11 MAY

Lignano Sabbiadoro - San Giovanni Bosco Park and beach offices 6 - 7

• Athletes' parade - from 09:45 from Piazza Ursella, through the pedestrian axis and the seafront of Lignano Sabbiadoro, accompanied by the L. Garzoni band of Lignano, it will arrive at the S. Giovanni Bosco park, where the athletes' awards ceremony will be held and a picnic will be held while waiting for the afternoon activities to begin.
• Athlete awards ceremony – at 11:00, at the S. Giovanni Bosco park, the award ceremony will be held for the athletes of the various sports associations of Lignano Sabbiadoro who have distinguished themselves during the year. They will be given an award by the municipal authorities, a symbol of esteem and gratitude for being witnesses and ambassadors of the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro.
• Free sports practice – from 13:00, in the San Giovanni Bosco park area and at the beach offices 6 - 7, you can admire numerous demonstrations of land and sea sports that can be practiced in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
