Lignano XC By Night - Nighttime Mountain Bike Race

Get ready for the most thrilling summer event in Lignano Sabbiadoro: "Lignano XC By Night", the spectacular nighttime mountain bike race that brings excitement, speed, and lights to the trails!

The 2026 edition will take place on Thursday, July 9, starting at 7:30 PM, in the unique setting of Parco Hemingway in Lignano Pineta.

Organized by the Team Zero Bike, the race unfolds on a mixed asphalt-and-dirt loop course, winding through the scenic pine woods surrounding the iconic park. The short circuit will be repeated multiple times after an initial warm-up lap, offering fun and challenge even for the most demanding riders.
Three starting waves based on category will ensure a competitive yet safe environment for all. As night falls, the only lights will be the bike headlights, creating an unforgettable and atmospheric race under the stars.

Who Can Participate

The race is open to all licensed athletes registered with the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) or with CONI-recognized Sports Promotion Bodies, as well as foreign riders affiliated with UCI-recognized national federations, provided they hold a valid 2026 license and medical sports eligibility.

Very important:

• Self-declarations of good health will not be accepted.
• Approved helmets and lights are mandatory for all participants.

The event complies with FCI regulations and the guidelines set by the National Cycle Touring Commission.

THE RACE

Categories admitted to the start and related rankings:

- Agonists:
JUNIORS: JU (17 to 18 years old)
OPEN MEN: UN + EL (from 19 years onwards)
OPEN WOMEN: DJ + DU + DE (from 17 years onwards)

- Amateur:
JUNIOR/ELITE SPORT: JMT + ELMT (from 17 to 29 years)
MASTER 1: M1 (from 30 to 34 years)
MASTER 2: M1 (from 35 to 39 years)
MASTER 3: M3 (from 40 to 44 years)
MASTER 4: M4 (45 to 49 years)
MASTER 5: M5 (50 to 54 years)
MASTER 6: M6 (55 to 59 years old)
MASTER 7: M7 (60 to 64 years)
MASTER 8: M8 (65 years and older)
WOMAN BAND 1: EWS+W1+W2
WOMAN BAND 2: W3+W4
WOMAN BAND 2: W5+W6+W7+W8

TIMES AND MEETING

Meeting point and verification of cards from 6.00pm.
Race start: 8.00 pm. At the discretion of the organization, several departures can be made with grouping of categories.
Departure and arrival: Hemingway Park, Via XXV Aprile, Lignano Pineta.

REGISTRATION METHOD

The registration fee is set at €20.
Registrations must be made on the website iscrive.xcbynight.it.
Registrations made solely via "K FACTOR" will not be accepted.
Registration deadline: Tuesday 8 July, 11.59pm.
The F.C.I. affiliated companies they are also obliged to register their athletes also via the federal IT system at the web address http://ksport.fattorek.it/fci/, using the race codes predefined by the Italian Cycling Federation. COMPETITION ID 170804 For companies affiliated with the Council bodies it is sufficient to follow the registration procedures.

Registration is then completed as follows:

 COMPETITIVE FCI ATHLETES (Juniors + Elite + Under23): Factor K (mandatory) + online registration (cost €0);
NON-COMPETITIVE FCI ATHLETES (Master): K factor + online registration (both mandatory, cost €20);
ATHLETES AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS: online registration (mandatory, cost €20)
