LAROSTE GRAVEL RACE 2025 - Lignano Sabbiadoro becomes the heart of gravel cycling

On September 28, 2025, Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) will host the very first edition of the LAROSTE GRAVEL RACE, an official event included in the national calendar of the Italian Cycling Federation. A full weekend dedicated to gravel bikes and cycling tourism, between sea, rivers, and the countryside of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

A weekend dedicated to cycling lovers

The event is part of Sandy Wheels – Lignano Cycling Experience, a festival that celebrates slow mobility and cycling passion with rides, workshops, guided tours, and the presence of legendary cycling champions.

The program is spread across two action-packed days:

Saturday, September 27, 2025 – LAROSTE GRAVEL RIDE & CICLOSTORICA D’ORO

• LAROSTE K150 – the toughest challenge, for highly trained cyclists.

• LAROSTE 75K – a medium distance for well-rounded riders.

• LAROSTE FAMILY (25 km) – a short, easy ride to discover Lignano and its surroundings.

• La Ciclostorica d’Oro – a vintage cycling event celebrating classic bikes and the golden age of cycling.

All rides start from the center of Lignano and run along bike paths, gravel roads, and scenic secondary routes, leading participants through unspoiled landscapes, historic villas, and authentic food & wine stops typical of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Sunday, September 28, 2025 – LAROSTE GRAVEL RACE

The spotlight shines on the competitive gravel race: a 50 km loop repeated twice, starting and finishing in the heart of Lignano.

The route makes the most of the regional cycling network, including:

• the Adriatic Sea Cycle Route (FVG2),

• the Tagliamento Cycle Route (FVG6),

• and the ASTER cycling itineraries of the Friulian Riviera.

Expect a fast, scenic, and enjoyable track, suitable for both professionals and amateurs eager to experience the thrill of gravel competition.
