36th International Meeting "Sport and solidarity"

On July 13, 2025, more than 200 professional athletes from 30 countries around the world will meet at the "G Teghil" Stadium in Lignano Sabbiadoro for the 36th international meeting "Sport and solidarity" and the eleventh Missoni trophy. The event will not miss the 3,500 people ready to watch this extraordinary show, which promises to be unforgettable.

Among the participating athletes, we have the honor of witnessing the exceptional performances of world champions who have obtained one or more medals in high-level competitions.

The event is officially included in the calendar of the World Federation (World Athletics) and the European Federation (EAA) circuit, and is considered one of the major sporting events taking place not only in Italy, but also in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The meeting, organized with great commitment by "Nuova Atletica dal Friuli", will see the participation of illustrious champions and the famous Jamaican arrows of speed, such as Kishane Thompson, Elaine Thompson and Shelly-Ann Fraser, the extraordinary three-time world Olympic champion in the 100 meters (the first Jamaican athlete to win a gold medal in this discipline), as well as the Spaniard Yeral Nunez, known for his performances in the 400 hurdles. In addition to the great champions who have honored us with their presence since the first edition, a special space will also be reserved for athletes with disabilities, to underline the importance of inclusion in sport. There will also be special attention to the young promises of Friuli Venezia Giulia and athletes with disabilities.

Participation in the 36th International Athletics Meeting is completely free, and it will be possible to make an offering at the entrance; the proceeds will be donated to support organizations committed in the area to people with disabilities, to guarantee concrete help.

Furthermore, the event will be broadcast live on the Rai Sport television network starting at 8:00 pm, allowing an even wider audience to follow this exciting and significant event.
