Lignano Bike Marathon

We are waiting for you for the ninth edition of the "Lignano Bike Marathon", a two-day event on your mountain bike!

Route: without significant differences in height, characterized by long and fun single tracks in the pine forests and suggestive passages between naturalistic areas such as the Marano lagoon, the Tagliamento river and a short but characteristic passage on the golden beach of Lignano. Route length: 130 km

The ninth edition of the Lignano Bike Marathon will take place on 5 and 6 October 2024, an event that has become one of the most important cycling events in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The project, born in 2013 with the aim of bringing a mountain bike race to the sea, combines high-level sport with the promotion of the scenic beauty of Lignano Sabbiadoro and its surroundings. The event will open on Saturday 5th with the Laroste Gravel: a popular cycling discipline that offers a long-distance cycling experience. It is a 130 km route that will touch suggestive places in the lower Friuli area starting from Lignano and continuing on the Tagliamento and Adriatic Sea cycle route up to Marano Lagunare, to then continue towards Ariis and Rivignano and return to Lignano following the lagoon banks.

On Sunday 6th the event will get to the heart of the event with the Marathon, a competitive mountain bike race over a distance of 62 km reserved for competitive athletes and amateurs, and with the non-competitive 30 km eco ride open to all.

The event is organized by the Asd Team ZeroBike with the support of the Italian Cycling Federation and the patronage of the city of Lignano Sabbiadoro and FVG Turismo.
