Barcolana Beach Sprint 2025 in Lignano Sabbiadoro: a spectacular mix of coastal rowing and beach running

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the beach of Lignano Sabbiadoro will host the second edition of the Barcolana Beach Sprint, the coastal rowing event in match race format that combines speed, skill, and adrenaline.

The competition is open to athletes aged 16 and over as well as masters of all categories, making it a celebration of both young talents and experienced rowing enthusiasts.

Beach Sprint Coastal Rowing, a fast-growing discipline that blends beach running, rowing at sea, and spectacular finishes on the shore, has already been chosen as an Olympic discipline for Los Angeles 2028. Lignano will thus become the stage for an exclusive preview of an event with true Olympic flair.

The race will take place in Lignano Pineta, with its base on the beach in front of the Pagoda, turning the coastline into an arena of excitement: athletes from all over Italy and neighboring countries will battle for the podium, delivering a competition that merges entertainment, sport, and passion for the sea.
