Adria Inclusive Games

After the successes of the past years and of the last edition held in our seaside resort, we are pleased to announce the new edition of the Adria Inclusive Games Lignano Sabbiadoro competition! Also this year the "Bella Italia" Tourist Village will be the location and venue for this 8th edition.
So what are you waiting for? We are waiting for you from 25 to 28 May 2023 for this great non-competitive sporting event.

We remind you that the event is reserved for athletes with intellectual/relational disabilities.
The athletes come from 9 regions and will compete in a sporting competition divided into two main competitions:

8th Futsal Cup
6th Basketball Cup category C21
Athletes will also have the opportunity to try other disciplines between land and sea, including:Archery, Judo, Karate, Parahockey, Basketball, Lifesaving swimming, Laser target shooting, Tennis. All disciplines will be disputed and tested in integrated mode according to the "Mixed Ability" program, where the SPORT21 ITALIA company has joined by signing the manifesto.

Mixed Ability is a model that promotes the inclusion of players of all abilities, through education and encouragement to become members of traditional sports clubs, regardless of their age, gender, background or ability.

Throughout the duration of the event there will be training meetings for technicians and managers from many European countries including: Greece, Lithuania, Hungary and Spain, which are part of the great "IDOSPORT" project

On Sunday 28 May, on the final day of the games, the athletes will compete on custom motorbikes, thanks to the participation of the ToffoliCar Motosport Team and Giuliano Ruoso. This was followed by the parade of participating teams, speeches by local and national authorities and the final award ceremony. The Mixed Ability Model promotes social inclusion through education, encouraging players of any ability to become members of sports clubs in traditional activities. The model represents an innovative and radical approach to wider social inclusion.

A great celebration of integrated sport with the participation of many volunteers, carers and family members including some athletes from the national teams in their category.
