Lignano Tuna Festival 2026 in Lignano Sabbiadoro: Dates, Programme and Tuna Party

The big end-of-season event for tuna lovers is back in Lignano Sabbiadoro. Now in its 6th edition, the Lignano Tuna Festival 2026 offers 6 days of celebration across two weekends: 25, 26 and 27 September and 2, 3 and 4 October 2026. An event for families, fishing enthusiasts and food lovers alike, with local food and wine, sporting challenges, games and fishing simulators.

Lignano Tuna Festival 2026 Dates

The festival takes place on Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, then Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026. The perfect excuse for a late-summer seaside weekend in Lignano Sabbiadoro.

Food Stalls: Grilled Tuna and Local Seafood

On all six days you'll find food & drink stalls serving traditional dishes made with local fish. The star of the show is bluefin tuna, served grilled and prepared in many other ways. And of course there will be fried calamari and the ever-popular breaded anchovies.

Tuna Party: Sunday 4 October at 6 pm

The highlight of the festival is the Tuna Party (Festa del Tonno), taking place on Sunday 4 October 2026 at 6:00 pm to close the event.

Kids' Games and Fishing Simulators

The Lignano Tuna Festival is fun for the whole family. Children can join in games with small prizes to win, while adults can test their skills on fishing simulators with adjustable difficulty levels. On Sunday 27 September there will also be a simulated fishing competition for kids and teens.
