"A filo d’acqua 2025": Words, Art, and Music for Peace

"A filo d’acqua 2025" - Words, Art, and Music for Peace are two events designed to weave together reflection, spirituality, and artistic expression, with the aim of promoting sharing, dialogue, and solidarity. Lignano in Fiore ODV, in collaboration with Dome Aghe and Savalon d’Aur and with the support of local associations and organizations, presents the 2025 edition of the “At Water’s Edge” series, an experience that unites the voice of the city with the breath of the sea.
 

Thursday, August 28 – 8:45 PM, Lignano Cathedral

The first evening will be dedicated to the value of prophecy as a tool for interpreting current events.
Presentation by Vito Di Piazza, physician and brother of Don Pierluigi Di Piazza, founder of the Ernesto Balducci Center in Zugliano.
Enriching the evening, a musical interlude with Marco Di Lena (guitar) and Federica Floreancig (flute), introduced by Massimo De Bortoli.
 

Friday, August 29 – from 8:15 PM

Itinerant street theater performance
White Presences – Theater Company Accademia Creativa from Bastia Umbra (PG)
Starting from Piazza Abbazia (beginning of the pedestrian zone) and arriving at the Beach Arena.

The performance White Presences will transport the audience into a fairytale atmosphere: artists on stilts will bring luminous figures – butterflies, angels, and fantastic creatures – to life through aerial dances and light effects. The streets of Lignano will thus transform into a setting suspended between dream and reality, evoking images of harmony and peace.

The route will pass through Piazza Fontana, continue towards the church and the seafront, and end on the beach at the Beach Arena. During the parade, the sand sculpture “Embrace of Peace”, created by masters Mario Vittadello and Ornella Scrivante, will also be unveiled.

Donations collected during the two evenings will support the activities of Doctors Without Borders.
